To compound matters the gas and electric had been turned off, but nobody had notified the city to turn off the water. Once the cold weather set in, a pipe cracked and the flooding began.
Legislation has been passed that now requires Center Point and Excel Energy to notify the city when they are shutting down gas and power. if we get that notice then our utility staff can shut off the water and avoid further damage to the home. I got these pictures from Rick Wahlen our Manager of Utilities.
In Photo 3, note the ice coming out of the siding in the upstairs floor of the house.
These photos indicate the water has been running out of the house for quite a while. [...]

This system is going to be a huge technological upgrade from our current police and fire systems that are a series of software systems that are hung together by special code written to make them hang together, not a great way to do business. The process to acquire a state-of-the-art system began more than a year ago with the selection of a team of dedicated people to analyze exactly what the needs were of every stakeholder. I cannot thank all of those involved enough for their time, energy and dedication to the process.

Jim has also been a person that stands up for what he believes is right, whether or not his position is in line with his party's position. These are all reasons that he has always been elected with 60% or more of the votes in his Congressional District.
Last year Jim announced that he would not seek a 10th term in Congress. On Monday I attended a joint Edina and Eden Prairie Chamber breakfast to honor Jim for all he has done. Matthew and Sooty are having problems with smoke alarms, which annoys the Sodor Engines. The Fat Controller decides to use smoke alarms instead of Fireman Sam who at long last wakes up.

Fireman Sweep has one serious note to dealing with Fires.

A vision system orientates a threaded neck ring which is then placed in the top of the shell. The end changer rotates and a servo positioned torch welds the neck ring in place.
The robot takes the welded shell to a second two station endchanger and unloads the completed shell and replaces it with the neck welded shell.
The bottom disk is placed in the shell by a vacuum cup, this station then rotates and a servo positioned torch welds the disk in place.
