A roadside bomb wounded 12 persons, including police officers, and Thai and international journalists at the scene of an earlier incident, where a villager was shot dead and burned early Tuesday.
According to the initial investigation, the bomb weighed 10 kilogrammes and was hidden in a fire extinguisher casing.The Associated Press (AP) reported that a foreign photojournalist, identified as Australian photographer Philip Blenkinsop, was wounded. According to hospital official, Mr. Blenkinsop told her he was on assignment for Time magazine.
