Congressman Jim Ramstad is one of my heroes. Jim exudes all that is good about being an elected public servant, he is honest with his comments and works hard for the people in the district he has represented for the past 18 years. Jim has also been a person that stands up for what he believes is right, whether or not his position is in line with his party's position. These are all reasons that he has always been elected with 60% or more of the votes in his Congressional District.
Last year Jim announced that he would not seek a 10th term in Congress. On Monday I attended a joint Edina and Eden Prairie Chamber breakfast to honor Jim for all he has done.
